He did that with aplomb with 2 Conference championships and an appearance in the 2007 final. Dioufi was not an outstanding individual talent but a key team player for the Stealers until his demise at the hands of the bloodthirsty Gha'rosh Bloodfist.

Making plays when they couldn't possibly work yet pulling something out of the bag yet giving up turnovers in near equal measure. Sirius was killed on a typically heroic play as he leapt in for a tackle only to be splatted from behind by Kaneris.

Vargash was a menacing force every time he stepped onto the field. He had found the going a little more difficult in his 3rd season and lasted just beyond half way when he finally met his match in the form of Verkampf. The Saurus ganging up with 2 other players to Vargash to death, no thanks to poor medical support on the sideline.

Birchy Feathernest had towered over Prime to deliver a crunching downward blow that even the Chaos Dwarf's genuine resilience could not cope with.

De Marco was fulfilling his defensive duties until he was blitzed by Knowings, whose clawed hands ripped through armour and flesh killing De Marco instantly.

He became the third player to be entered into the shrine by Zzharg Zzhargson when he had the misfortune to face the Chaos Dwarf on a meaningless line of scrimmage just before the half of Delight's quarter final defeat.

The damage inflicted by the opposition left the Corp short of medical attention and meant that Norbert's solid and dependable career was brought to a crushing end by a sick block from George.

Brian was not a starter and not respected enough by his well stocked medical staff to gain attention while more minor wounds were attended to elsewhere.

Spike never really managed the level of impact expected though was clearly skilled in evading tacklers having registered 0 Falls in his 25 successful Dodges.

Barrachus was killed during a period of brutal genius by Woo Woo, the Black Orc running over Barrachus at the line of scrimmage.

Johnson had managed a whopping 60 stands in his career and had become the team's main tank as well as a decent utility player on a team that improved the instant he arrived.

Knocker's best performance came against Revengers' Tragedy in the 2004 semi finals with 2 scores to see the side through to the final. He was killed by invading Allstars fans in 2007 while performing his main duty of filling in for McSpeedy.

Darkspirit was never a flashy thrower but the bravery that ultimately cost him was a credit.

Popping his head through, it was lifted clean off and out of the stadium by rabid Darkstalkers fans. Graveyard had been a backup receiver during his career on an improving Fabienettes squad.

Killed by a forearm smash from Kazek "The Impolite" in a game where the Rebellion medical staff were pre-occupied with reviving the 7 Casualties inflicted.

Power was a decent player who had shown an ability to stand out from the pack but was killed by a nasty block from behind in a game where the Argonauts suffered more deaths than any team in history.

Hayner was crushed to death by the hobnailed boot of Stupidity's Harry "The Tan" in a brutal game.

With an impressive career knockdown ratio of 0.783, Ruud was mixing it up with the Bomb Squad when caught off guard and killed by Tiny.

His death came curtesy of a destructive block from Woo Woo "The Pain Train" in a game where Team Stupidity stretched the Hacks medical staff.

Jorge was filling that role as the 2006 semi final headed to the half-time break when he was unfortunate enough to be matched up against Zzharg Zzhargson. The Chaos Dwarf recorded his second Shrine entry with a headshot that killed Jorge instantly.

Delight	Dirk Van Hooschtenberger Human Lineman	11/12/06	Fookalite: Mugaz	9	ADA South Champ 2006, 13 SPPs, 2 TDs, 1 CAS, 2 Rushes for 12 Yards, 1 Pass Attempt, 1 Reception from 2 Attempts for 8 Yards, 17 Blocks, 10 Downs, 2 Dodges, 1 Fall, 14 Stands	Dirk was a regular starter for the 2006 expansion Delight franchise that took the ADA South title that season and advanced to the wildcard round of the post-season. Hooschtenberger was unfortunate to run into the Mugaz and their aggressive play. Fookalite exemplified that with an horrific head stomp that killed Hooschtenberger in a game that had already seen the team apothecary incapacitated.

He was killed by a revenge block from "Hulk" Hogan following a the death of Panzers Jesse Ventura in the same game. The medical staff were unable to revive this valued member of the team.

He was filling in again against the Tragedy when he was subjected to a brutal stomp from Tucker that was beyond his team's medical efforts.

Unfortunately for the Zombie, he lost out badly in a battle of the Undead when Mom'Ra obliterated him on the line of scrimmage, making Henry Lee the second ever Zombie to enter the shrine.
Rebellion	"Slippery" Steve Gnoll Lineman	18/10/06	Ponce de Leon: Stealers	11	15 SPPs, 1 Rush for 8 Yards, 20 Blocks, 9 Downs, 8 Tackles, 8 Dodges, 3 Falls, 7 Stands, 5 Fumbles	One of the few players to come out of the horrific Gadfathers 2005 season with any credit, "Slippery" wasjoint second in tackles during the 05 season. Fulfilling more of a blocking role in 2006, he was carrying out his duty when hit by a decent block from Ponce de Leon. Unfortunately Apothecary Dr Death had already been killed so no medical treatment was available and Steve died.

Indeed he was the first person from the Rebellion franchise to find himself in the shrine after being targeted by an invasion of Stealers fans.

Slain had never sent any players off.

He was killed by Landok of the Tragedy who threw a massive head-high block Butler. The Stealers Apothecary was unable to provide assistance as he was dealing with stubbed toe of his own.
Rebellion	"The not-so-mighty" Doug Human Lineman	23/08/06	Gha'rosh Bloodfist : PAIN	10	7 SPPs, 1 CAS, 25 Blocks, 13 Downs, 1 Dodge, 2 Falls, 14 Stands, 1 Foul, 1 Damage	Doug was a player of no great note on the wooden spoon Gadfathers team in 2005. His 2006 season was even worse as he was killed in the second game when medical attention failed after he had attempted to butt heads with Gha'rosh Bloodfist and come off considerably worse.
Bomb	Mark Boese Human Lineman	15/08/06	Stealers Fans	10	13 SPPs, 1 TD, 2 Rushes for 17 Yards, 1 Passing Attempt, 1 Reception for 4 Yards, 23 Blocks, 13 Downs, 20 Stands	A player that looked to be on the cusp of fulfilling his full potential, Boese had just scored the first touchdown of his career when he was killed by a rock thrown from the crowd in the resulting kick-off. It was a score that helped the Bomb to their first ever win.
Punchers	Buckminster Human Lineman	23/06/06	Face King: Hacks	29	Championship 2003, ADA West Champ 2003, 1 TD, 3 Rushes for 12 Yards, 1 Passing Attempt, 2 Receptions from 2 Attempts for 2 Yards, 25 Blocks, 15 Downs, 1 Tackle, 1 Dodge, 2 Falls, 12 Stands, 2 Fouls, 1 Damage, 3 Fumbles	A pioneer in the art of the trade, Buckminster was the first player to represent three different teams on the field. With his first team, the Mugaz he was part of the championship winning side in 2003. From there, he spent a couple of years at the Missiles franchise before joining the Punchers for 2006. In his second Punchers match he wa struck in the head by Face King who was looking to make a name for himself. Buckminster never recovered.
Savages	Stinky Skink Lineman	27/11/05	Garek Hornskull: Wildmen	24	All-West 2004, 2005, 40 SPPs, 8 TDs, 1 CAS, 14 CMPs, 2 MVPs, 38 Rushes for 243 Yards, 4 Completions from 9 Attempts for 8 Yards, 2 Intercepted, 18 Receptions from 21 Attempts for 56 Yards, 15 Blocks, 2 Downs, 2 Tackles, 60 Dodges, 9 Falls, 20 Stands, 3 Fouls, 3 Damage, 23 Fumbles	At the very end of his third season, Stinky was let down by his medical staff after having been crushed under the spiked boot of Garek Hornskull. Stinky had been a key part of the Savages franchise for the duration of his career and was the top career scorer for his side at the time of his death. Many consider Stinky to have been the best player of the first three seasons for the Savages. Despite dying, Stinky was named All-West for the second time at the end of the 2005 season.
Darkstalkers	Kane De La Richnoc Human Lineman	24/11/05	Mutineers	21	All-East 2004, 21 SPPs, 1 TD, 4 CAS, 2 MVPs, 1 Reception from 1 Attempt for 6 Yards, 56 Blocks, 23 Downs, 1 Tackle, 5 Dodges, 4 Falls, 23 Stands, 5 Fouls, 4 Damage, 3 Fumbles	Nearly a three season veteran, Kane was part of the terrible 2003 Mercenaries side bought out by The Darkstalkers but was able to forge a Blood Bowl career, mainly through his personal leadership ability. Career highpoint was being named All-East 2004. One skill clearly lacking though was being able to keep upright in traffic. His 4th and final fall was a fatal head-first drop sandwiched between a couple of Mutineers players.
Mugaz	Uruk Black Orc Blocker	30/10/05	Horny Wildman: Wildman	5	5 SPPs, 1 MVP, 26 Blocks, 21 Downs, 10 Stands	A tough and accurate blocker, Uruk looked to be well on his way to a successful Blood Bowl career but it was cut short in his rookie season by Horny Wildman. The Minotaur took revenge for his fallen capitan by spearing Uruk through the lungs on a nasty blindside hit. At the time of his passing, Uruk was the player with the Best Ratio in a career.
Wildmen	Mr Wildman Troll Blocker	30/10/05	Mumraaah: MuGaz	23	Western Conf Champ 2004, 3rd Most Violent 2004, Most CAS 2004, 45 SPPs, 15 CAS, 3 MVPs, 166 Blocks, 95 Downs, 11 Dodges, 3 Falls, 25 Stands, 4 Fouls, 2 Damage, 1 Sent Off, 2 Fumbles	The capitan of the Wildmen, Mr Wildman was a brutal force on the Blood Bowl field and one of the most successful big guys in the game before he became the second fatality recorded by Mumraaah. The block was thrown with so much force that even Wildman's famed powers of regeneration could not save him. Mr Wildman's 15 CAS makes him by far the most violent player to have died in the line of duty to date.
Referee	Skratcha Sniff Skaven	15/08/05	Stealers and Gadfathers Fans	5	3 Ref Awards, 1 Sending Off, 3 Fouls	Skratcha was pulled apart in a truly brutal manner by both the Revenue Stealers fans and The Gadfathers fans at the same time. Never before has such violence been inflicted on one Blood Bowl participant. Skratcha was on a run of damage having been knocked out while reffing the Mutineers the week before.
PAIN Corp	Leydon Ezra High Elf Lineman	07/07/05	Seth Jabour: Stealers	1	3 Rushes for 15 Yards, 3 Blocks, 1 Down, 1 Tackle, 4 Dodges, 1 Fall, 2 Stands, 4 Fumbles	Killed in what has to be the most brutal rookie match so far, Leydon had nearly a complete match under his belt until he was stomped to death as time expired against the Stealers. Leydon had shown some promise as PAIN's ball carrier but will never be able to fulfil any promise at all.
Stealers	Nerys Dwarf Blitzer	07/07/05	Bill Barrington: PAIN	1	4 Blocks, 2 Downs, 1 Dodge, 4 Stands	A rookie in his first ever match. Nerys becomes the player with the shortest career to date (9 Turns). The fatality was a combination of "Balls" Barrington and some inadequate medical attention as the Revenue Stealers found that not all of their staff were ready for league action.
Wildmen	Lisa Furykup Amazon Thrower	12/12/04	Mutineers Fans	18	24 SPPs, 16 CMPs, 2 MVPs, 16 Rushes for 73 Yards, 16 Passes from 17 Attempts for 43 Yards, 23 Blocks, 12 Downs, 3 Tackles, 7 Dodges, 3 Falls, 7 Stands, 1 Foul, 1 Damage, 10 Fumbles	Also killed in the second Mass Invasion of the 2005 final, a match that some say is the most brutal to date. Lisa was in the top ten for Completions in both of her seasons in the league and a top ten for pass yards in 2003. The range of stats showed her versatility but was not enough to escape the carnage of that final.
Mutineers	Remmy Bongyaski Human Lineman	12/12/04	Wildmen Fans	10	Eastern Conf Champ 2003, 10 SPPs, 2 MVPs, 16 Blocks, 4 Downs, 1 Dodge, 12 Stands	Killed by the second Mass Invasion of the 2005 final, Remmy was killed by a rush of Wildmen fans during overtime while taking up his duty performing the unglamorous work to support the more skillful players en route to the championship.
Mutineers	Shawn Fleschcrawl Zombie Lineman	12/12/04	Fookalite: Mugaz	9	Eastern Conf Champ 2003, 2 SPPs, 1 CAS, 14 Blocks, 6 Downs, 15 Stands	Shawn was a late round Krush pick who helped the Mutineers on way to their eventual title though his run was ended in the semi finals when an horrific foul from Fookalite crushed what remained of his cranium . That skull had been well dented over the season, as evidenced by being joint 4th for stands in the season. Shawn was the first player to die in the post-season.
Dolts	Elron "Blessed" Hands Apothecary	12/09/04	Brian O'Hanrahanrahan: Wildmen	10	N/A	Elron was the first coaching fatality the league has seen. He served the Dolts loyally under three different head coaches across a season and a half before he was flattened by one of his own players, "Rob's" Gay Dad after he were pushed into the dug-out during a game against the Wildmen.

The Mercenaries team of 2003 was the worst in the league so Alec was on the receiving end of too many hits as evidenced by his Conference high fumbling. The brutal high tackle by Luke proved just one hit too many.

Sami was the leading receiver in the 2003 season and was part of the Championship winning Mugaz team that year. The Norse Catcher made the All-Pro XI for 2003. He was killed during a brutal game against the Mutineers after being decapitated by Zzharg Zzhargson while trying to get downfield for yet another reception.

Brought in as a 12th man, he only made it to his second game thanks to Apothecary intervention after being flattened by a Mutineers fan in his first. His second was his last thanks to the ancient brutality of Mumraaah. Viryvan's record of 14 turns on the pitch in a career may never be lowered.
