The Revenue Stealers faced up to their first home match of the season, coming into it on a two game losing streak. The close losses to the Tragedy and previously the Bomb Squad were the first the franchise had ever suffered in the regular season. The Boxer Rebellion came into the game on the back of their first ever victory, against the expansion Team Stupidity. The Stealers had owned the matchup between the sides last season, with a 2-0 victory in the corresponding fixture and a later 5-2 demolition.
The game opened brutally for the visitors. The Stealers had been burned badly by fan invasions during their loss to the Tragedy and the home support had clearly looked for vengeance against the hapless Rebellion side. A mass invasion killed Apothecary Dr Death as he was caught unawares by the bloodthirsty horde. It was a sign of the way the first period would go, with the Stealers dominating the early going thanks to a tackle in the Rebellion backfield turning into a score for Ninja Xiao Xiao. En route, Amazon Blitzer Schnoo Schnoo injured High Elf Catcher "Prince" Kev "The Moron". The Stealers went on to inflict further pain on their opposition with Skaven Lineman "Rather Ratty" Reg being taken out of the game while Gnoll Lineman "Slippery" Steve was subjected to far worse. A block from Ponce de Leon looked hard but fair and without support from the medical staff as the Apothecary was already being carted off to the Shrine, there was no support on hand to save Steve from slipping off himself.
Neither side could put much together in the second half, with the Rebellion passing game being particularly ineffective as handling and footing errors prevented either side from threatening another score. The game petered out somewhat, with the damage having been done in the first half to secure the Revenue Stealer's first victory of the season.
The Revenue Stealers were missing Linemen Dioufi, Harrison Hayner, and Fabien Degravson as a result of injuries sustained in the Tragedy game.
