AD Blood Bowl League

Welcome to the AD Blood Bowl league, part of the AD community. This is the website to support the world's largest ongoing face-to-face league. The links to your left contain all the relevant info for the league. The scroller above highlights some of the latest updates. Check the forum for all the latest discussion and debate.

The league is run over a fixed schedule and is played live face-to-face. We are based in London though not geographically limited to that location with coaches from around the south-east. The league does not use a set time frame for games to be played. Whenever coaches are available for their next match, it can be on. All matches are supervised by a referee and all actions are recorded. Entrance to the league is by invitation only.

There are quite a few modifications to the official Blood Bowl rules. These modifications can be found in the various house rule sections but are generally aimed at achieving a longer-term balance than occurs officially and to bring in a wider variety of options and limitations to test teams ability to sustain effectiveness season after season. League officials would like to thank the NFL for their concepts of equity which have been adapted for use in this league.

We have 8 Conferences of 4 teams divided into 2 divisions. Divisions are for organisational purposes only. Each team remains in their Conference in perpetuity. Each Conference is considered equal so no promotion or relegation occurs Teams face an 8 week Regular Season including home and away matches against all other teams in the same Conference and cross-conference matches against two different teams based on seeding. At the end of the Regular Season, the Post-Season sees the best teams play-off for the overall Championship. Qualification for the post-season is based on performance in the Regular Season and all Conference winners (C) automatically qualify for the Post-Season along with the 4 next best ranked teams (B):
