A resurgent Revengers' Tragedy welcomed the team that had defeated them in week one to the Alpha Rats Nest where they have never dropped a game. Tragedy came into the match on the back of a comprehensive win over the Arkasha Principals in week four. The Missiles have struggled a little since their early season promise, with a draw against The Panzerbourne following their week three defeat to the expansion Punchers.
Bad Press surrounding the Missiles's slump may have affected the attendance but it certainly did not get in the way of a lightning fast start for both team's offences. The Tragedy were first on the board, sending forth their now traditional five-pointed receiver set and it was Holden Webster the High Elf rookie of the year last season who was the beneficiary of a completion from Skaven Thrower Tor to open the scoring. The Missiles hit back immediately, working a pattern down the sidelines that enabled Catcher Johnny Danger into position for a pass from Goale Ong, and with barely a quarter of the game gone it was already one apiece. A pitch invasion cut into the field but barely slowed the scoring pace. Despite dropping a pass, Gutter Runner Kyle had the wherewithal to pick up his own bobbled ball and turn it into a second score for his team. This time the Missiles were unable to respond and the half ended 2-1 to the home team.
Poor handling from Goale Ong turned the game in the Tragedy's favour when he fumbled the kickoff and then was forced into another fumble by Ogre Landok that took Ong out of the game. Wood Elf Lineman Penn was first to the loose ball and he streaked away for a third touchdown for the home side. The scorefest was not over as the visitors still showed some signs of life, Johnny Danger again getting on the board thanks to a pass from former Tragedy player Mr Trick. The game was finally nailed shut and the list of scorers brought to an end when Kyle crossed the line for his second of the game. A desperate Missiles attempt to get something back failed when Wardancer Billy Mahonie was unable to leap the defensive lines and suffered a shoulder injury on the fall.
Johnny Danger's two touchdown runs took him past 100 career rushing yards. Quagmire Giggity threw his 100th career block during the game.
Billy Mahonie will miss the clash with the Junior Wildmen in week six due to rotator cuff damage.
