The ADA West matches rolled in with the All-Stars and Mugaz meeting at the massive Bring-a-Bed Stadium where the Mugaz have won the last two. Continuing their franchise record regular season undefeated streak by defeating the Wildmen while the All-Stars were only able to hold the Savages to a high scoring draw, the Mugaz will be keen to show that their new coach Fabien can continue to bring success to the 2005 finalists.
All of the scoring during the match took place within the first half and even within the half, the scorer could have taken some time off. The All-Stars received the initial kick-off but found themselves hampered by some unexpected mishaps including Thrower Eiowol Talinne fumbling the ball thanks to a dart apparently fired in from the crowd. The fumble allowed Norse Catcher Henrik Bjornstad-Ibson to take advantage despite the appearance of a 12th All-Stars player who managed to sneak onto the field un-noticed, probably through the underground sewers. The only positive for the home team was Verkampf "Rat Destroyer" who doubled his career Casualty count during the first quarter of the game, taking out Pete Dodgeson and Klein both of whom later required medical attention. The All-Stars struck back fairly quickly through Svetlana Domina as the visitors found themselves unable to hold on the flanks, particularly once Salogel Litefoot had been hurt. The remainder of the half saw the ball bogged down in midfield, the All-Stars holding firm and the Mugaz unable to make the breakthrough.
Just under half of the second period was lost to scuffles, meaning that the sides had limited time to try and press for the winning score. The Mugaz chances were not helped when highly rated prospect Edorath was hurt by Svetlana Domina. Their usually accurate passing game began to fall apart, and a couple of drops ended their drive too deep in All-Stars territory for the home side to launch a counter attack. The game ended at one apiece, with both sides somewhat content. The All-Stars still haven't won this season but the Conference is still extremely tight and no team will feel that any other will run away with it.
Tom Flid missed the match as a result of a couple of existing niggling injuries flaring up.
Aenarion Swift has now taken over at the top of the all-time reception listings, posting the most career receptions and the most career receiving yards in a rapidly changing category. Grak Hedsplitta now has 100 career blocks.
