Junior Wildmen 0-2 KoPite MuGaz

A bumper crowd of 92,000 pitched up to the newly renamed Stadium Lard to see a clash between two franchises with majorly new looks. The Wildmen parted company with their spiritual leader coach Lord Bastardo during the 2005 season, ending it with Fabien in charge. Fabien has now been appointed as head coach of the Mugaz following Hydemonster's surprise move to expansion side Tabard Delight. The Wildmen themselves have appointed rookie coach Gingerlard to take them forward.

Despite the churn at the head coach position, it was still the same story for matches between these sides as the Mugaz ran out comfortable 2-0 winners in the end. The first half was a fairly scrappy affair with both sides clearly still getting used to the new systems being employed by their coaching staff. With the unfamiliarity and the winds whipping around the stadium, neither side were able to put an effective drive together and the half petered out to a 0-0 conclusion.

The second half opened with slightly more promise, the sides swapping Casualties as Mumraaah got through to the great Speedy McSpeedy to put him out but finding himself on the wrong end of a blow from Woody Wildman. The two sides fans also managed to get hold of referee Uriah Runner, the man in charge of the 2005 final. Runner was replaced by Chris Fay The Mugaz had received and it did not take them long to get onto the scoreboard. A bomb from the incredible Arda to Wood Elf Lineman Edorath opening the scoring. The visitors double their advantage shortly thereafter, once again Edorath was the scorer, taking advantage of a fumble in the backfield from Mr Cock Knocker. The scoring threat in the game ended at that point, with the only further highlights being a couple more Casualties from the Mugaz.

Referee Uriah Runner suffered a flesh wound and has an 80% chance of making his next scheduled fixture, in week four.
