The Panzerbourne 1-1 Revengers' Tragedy

Week 2: 26/06/06

Despite the heavy snow, 51,000 fans turned out to Panzer Stadium to see this week two fixture. Following their surprise loss to the Missiles, Revengers' Tragedy were on the rebound looking for vengeance against a Panzerbourne side that lost out to the Principals last week under their new coach Mr Tinkles. The Tragedy were without Krush signing Mr Trick following his trade to the Missiles.

The match did not pan out in the manner that most pundits expected. The poor start to the season from the defending champs continued as their post-title hangover showed no sign of letting up. Despite taking an early lead through top scorer Kyle in a trademark quick touchdown following a pass from Tor, the Tragedy were unable to seal the game and were undone by a last gasp score from Harry Wahles of The Panzerbourne, the Beastman's first career touchdown.

For the second consecutive week, the Tragedy were on the receiving end of a physical assault and again suffered three Casualties. It was only the use of a healing scroll that kept the team intact. Two of the Casualties were inflicted by the reigning tw-time Most Violent Player Bubba Ho-Tep.

Penn of the Tragedy and his opposite number Legoland of the Panzerbourne both missed the game due to existing niggling injuries. Luke was a different matter entirely, as he was arrested shortly before the kickoff with constabulary actually entering the pitch to enforce a warrant. It is understood that Luke will return to the squad ahead of the week three clash with the Revenue Stealers following a substantial transfer of funds to the local judiciary. In unrelated matters, The Panzerbourne's income from the game was robbed by an unknown assailant.

Kyle's two receptions in the game saw him over 50 receiving yards in his career, and tie Stinky at the top of the list for all-time number of receptions.
