A massive crowd of 101,000 people piled into Puddle Dock to see the still undefeated Mugaz take on the struggling Junior Wildmen. The Wildmen have found the going tough all season under new head coach Gingerlard, and it was rumoured that much of this game was run under the auspices of the franchise ownership with Gingerlard taking a back seat. The loss to the All-Stars was a bitter pill to swallow. The Mugaz will have been pleased to have kept their undefeated streak alive against the Savages last week and against a side that they comprehensively outplayed in week one, will have been full of confidence.

The Mugaz exerted their authority on the game early. Mummy Mumraaah won the battle at the line of scrimmage, taking out Treeman Woody Wildman. The loss of the offensive anchor hurt the Wildmen, and they were unable to move the ball deep into Mugaz territory, turning it over on a failed pass attempt from Orc Thrower No Nads. 2004's rookie of the year, Salogel Litefoot punished the visitors by running the ball all the way back for a score despite being held up by Norse Blitzer Mr Large Horn. The hold up only ran time off the clock for the Wildmen, as they were unable to get far enough downfield for a reply before the half time whistle.

The Wildmen were unable to stop the Mugaz offence at the start of the second period. With lead blocker Igror Da Zkina making holes, a small path opened up for Wood Elf Lineman Edorath and it was enough for him to evade a couple of tackles, collect a pass from Dark Elf Thrower Arda, and pick up the Mugaz second touchdown of the day. The team made it 3-0 with an aggressive defensive formation taking advantage of difficulties in the Wildmen attacking play. Lineman Pete Dodgeson collected his second career touchdown with a three yard run to end the game.

Salogel Litefoot now has exceeded the 50 SPP barrier. Mumraaah is the second player in history to reach 20 Casualties. Arda moved through 200 career rushing yards.

Speedy McSpeedy missed the game with a niggling injury.
