The 2006 Championship Game was the culmination of a long hard season for the All-Stars and Mutineers. The no 2 seeded All-Stars and no 4 seeded Mutineers had both emerged from tough semi final matches against the KoPite MuGaz and PAIN Corp respectively. An array of star players were missing from the game due to injury. The All-Stars entered the game without Kaneris N'Gillthrog, Jack Hour, Aenarion Swift, and Tom Flid. The Mutineers were without Savogand Thrall and Fester Rustblade.
Despite, or perhaps because of the absence of such storied players the game was the highest scoring final to date. Even rain did not dampen the offensive prowess on display. The ADA East champion Mutineers were on the board first, Merik Crooks troubling the scorer in a flash that saw the opposition seemingly caught in a Time Warp. The All-Stars responded with a punishing drive that opened up by reducing their rivals to 8 players straight after the snap. Anchored by Eiowol Talinne, the ADA West champions drove down the field to equalise. Any chance of a Mutineers response was quoshed by Scuffles that ran out the remaining time in the first period.
The second half began as swiftly as the first. This time Svetlana Domina was the player making sure the scorer had not dozed off with a rapid fire touchdown, possibly aided by Illegal Drugs. The Mutineers were not slow to respond, unable to utilise their traditional clock control tactics, Joanie Brawler raced through to draw the game level at 2-2. That was the way it stayed until very close to the end of the game, a difficult All-Stars drive was halted on one occasion but Svetlana Domina was just too good for the defence and she was able to pop back up to race through for what was the winning score and a 3-2 victory.
The All-Stars claimed the 2006 championship and are added to the pantheon of champions.
Svetlana Domina's touchdowns saw her become the second player to score 30 career Touchdowns and in the process Rushed for the 50th time. Boa Dicea became the player with the most post-season turns on the field during the game. The Amazon Blitzer also breached the 200 career rushing yards mark. Samuel Magnusson has now spent 500 Turns on the pitch.
