The first cross-conference match of the 2006 season took place at The Cell where the All-Stars were in town for the first time. The All-Stars have never dropped a single point in a cross-conference game. The Dolts picked up four points in cross-conference games last season but unlike their opponents were coming into the match off a loss, in the game against the Mutineers. The All-Stars did though arrive behind the Dolts in the pecking order having only recorded a couple of draws to date.
The match was a barrage of lightning fast attacking play with defences on both sides struggling to contain high octane offensive players. That was evident from the opening moments as the Dolts recorded one of the fastest touchdowns ever, Salina Black their unstoppable scoring machine ran in a score before the All-Stars could make a move to react. The visitors managed to recover though, rolling forward until Svetlana Domina equalised. In the midst of all the goal-line action, perhaps the key point of the match was a tackle by Magnus Samuelson on Salina Black that badly hurt the catcher, eliminating the main scoring threat from the game. The half was ended with a second All-Stars touchdown, again through Domina.
The second half was just as back and forth, an early score from Witch Elf "High" Lady Venice tied up the score very quickly but with half of the second period remaining, the All-Stars again went ahead, this time through Aenarion Swift. Surprisingly that was the end of the scoring as the All-Stars finally put a defensive front up and a last ditch attempt to even up the score failed when Gordon Harbine was unable to slip a tackle zone.
Sven Andersson missed the game as a result of an injury picked up in a previous match. Bobby "Blue" Eyes was prevented from participating by a niggling injury. The Chaos Gods removed All-Stars Troll Slayer Freddy Brewski from the match midway through the second half.
Verkampf "Rat Destroyer" has exceeded 200 Blocks while Eiowol Talinne has already thrown enough passing yards to have the 10th most productive passing yard season to date after just three games.
