The second fixture between the Punchers and the Panthers came with both sides performing slightly under expectations. The Punchers have not yet kicked on from the 4-0 win on opening day against the Panthers, while the Panthers themselves are still pointless heading into the game. The Panthers did get on the board for the first time during week four, in a 3-1 defeat at home to the Hotspur Hacks. The Punchers somehow dropped a couple of points in a draw with Team Stupidity.
The opening drive became another opportunity for ball-handling showboating by the home team as they moved the ball between their players seemingly at will. With the ball moving sideways back and forth the field, the visitors had a hard time keeping track of it. The Panthers also struggled to find targets in the blocking game as the Punchers kept their opponents at arms length for as long as possible. When the Punchers did look to move upfield, they were able to put another series together that saw Dark Elf Thrower Learned Hand complete a pass to Lineman Pippi McDeath to run in the opening score. The touchdown had come with just enough time for the visitors to put a drive together and they were able to do so. Showing greater offensive confidence than has been the case, the Panthers were able to set up a quick strike from Skaven Thrower "The" Brain to High Elf Catcher Gaius Balthar and surprisingly it was 1-1 at the break.
The Panthers offence struggled slightly more in the second period, with the Punchers able to break into the backfield and make a tackle that disrupted the offensive flow and gave Learned Hand an opportunity to slide in and throw a bomb to Gutter Runner Yussef who had slipped un-noticed into the end zone. The Panthers attack again floundered in the subsequent drive and their chance of getting something out of the game appeared to be over when the ball found its way to Punchers hands but more showboating was capitalised on by Gaius Balthar who stole in from nowhere to grab the ball and plunge over the line for the equalising score to end the game.
Quark missed the game for the Panthers with a broken foot.
