The clash between the two post-season qualifiers from the ADF East in 2006 saw the defending conference champion Hacks travel to a Punchers side they had traded six touchdowns apiece with last season. This game was somewhat lower scoring, thanks in part to the rain. The two teams put the ball on the ground a total of 19 times between them.
The Punchers took the early advantage thanks to an interception by Yussef - making him the first player to record interceptions in consecutive games having done so in the Wildcard Round vs the Bomb Squad. The eventual beneficiary was Dante Steel, the former Missile picking up his second career score. The Hacks were unable to mount a comeback before the break and were unable to do so afterwards either despite causing an early turnover of their own. An uncharacteristic blocking match ensued between the teams with the ball being put turned over on multiple occasions. Eventually it was Yussef who again was the difference with a long pass to Jenade allowing the Punchers top Krush pick to score on debut with time close to expiration.
Muminur was ruled out of the game due to arrest on a petty misdemeanour. Dave "The Paedo" also missed the game due to a niggling injury.
Scoop Sopwith went through 100 career rushing yards during the match.
