The first ever post-season appearance for both the Punchers and Bomb saw them drawn against one another. The Punchers, from the expansion ADF East had been favourites for that Conference pre-season but find themselves entering the post-season as a wildcard due to the success of the Hotspur Hacks. Bomb make the post-season at their second attempt having finished second in the ADF North behind PAIN Corp.
It was the Bomb Squad who started off quickest, blasting in an early score following the game's opening kickoff. Slinky turned a quick pass into a touchdown once the Punchers pass rush began to close in with the Gnoll Catcher seemingly in a different Time Warp to the rest of the action around. The visitors continued to dominate the action for the remainder of the first period despite a sickeningly Blatant Foul by Dante Steel that Badly Hurt Bomb Squad captain Seef-Orr. Even without their talented Wardancer on the field, the Squad were able to take advantage of a couple of fumbles by Punchers standout Learned Hand deep in his own territory. Nowand Sven was the player who put the pressure on and turned it into a second score. The Punchers attempts to strike back before the break were thwarted despite an interception from Yussef that set up the action only yards from the endzone, Muminur twice fumbling the ball to cost his side the touchdown.
The Punchers performed better in the second period but they were always up against it from 2 down. A rapid score thanks to Yussef's unselfish play allowed Tyson to pull one back for the home team in the early going. A bruising drive from Tiny began to chew up some clock once the Bombers had the ball in hand again and though he was eventually brought down, Slinky was the player who stepped up and re-established the 2 score lead. Another late consolation from Tyson thanks to more unselfish play by Yussef merely brought some respectability back and the Bomb Squad advanced to the Quarter Finals.
Yussef broke through the 100 rushing yard mark early in the game while Tiny threw his 100th career Block during the match.
