The Revenue Stealers looked to put their disappointing 2006 campaign behind them with a victory over Conference wooden spoonists Boxer Rebellion. The Rebellion certainly improved during the 06 campaign and will have been looking to kick on again for 2007. Clearly aiming for a fast start, the Rebellion moved the ball at pace to open but fell foul of Xiao Xiao, the Ninja tackling Lord Khunt in the open field. Despite a valiant attempt by Khunt to recover, the Stealers swooped the ball away and into the hands of Ramasees. Moving through what must have been a Time Warp, the Tomb Guard showed previously unseen pace to race the length of the Rebellion half and in for the opening score. Things got worse for the home side at the next kickoff, Xiao Xiao again tackling the ball carrier though this time in Rebellion territory. The Nippon player turning the hit into a second score for the Stealers to close the first period.
The second half was a calamity for the Rebellion thanks to a pitch invasion that took a further three players out of the game. The Stealers were pretty much unopposed in going three up through top Krush pick !!!. Against the run of play, Boxer Rebellion managed a consolation score when Xiao Xiao fumbled a pass and "Hack Phlegm" Morris took advantage to slide in for the touchdown. Unable to defend the Stealers attack, the Rebellion conceeded a fourth at the game's conclusion with Xiao Xiao again the player successfully penetrating the end zone.
The Stealers were victorious without the services of Johnny "John Long" Bomb and Fullerene who both failed medicals prior to kickoff. "Rather Ratty" Reg will miss the Rebellion's week two clash with the Bomb Squad due to an injury sustained during the pitch invasion.
Xiao Xiao and Schnoo Schnoo both broke through 100 career Rushing Yards during the game. Xiao Xiao also recorded his 20th career Fumble.
