Boxer Rebellion 2-2 Bomb Squad

A drift of light snow covered the 55,000 hardy souls who showed up to watch the week one clash between the two sides who failed to register a win during 2005. The Boxer Rebellion are a franchise under new ownership after The Gadfathers were sold as a going concern following ending up with the wooden spoon last year. The Rebellion franchise and the Bomb Squad have drawn their two previous matches against each other in the ADF North to date

The game itself was a very scrappy affair with individual brilliance maing the greatest impact for both sides. The first drive was aborted fairly early on as High Elf Catcher "Prince" Kev "The Moron" fell into a pit trap with the ball following a dropped pass by Seef-Orr of the Bomb Squad. When the game began proper, the Rebellion struck first through "Hack Phlegm" Morris who saked Bomb Thrower Howie Zarr deep in his own half and ran in the resulting fumble for the opening score. The Bomb Squad responded with a more measured drive that included a Casualty from Chaos Dwarf Semm Tex and an eventual score from Gnoll Catcher Slinky who escaped the attentions of the Rebellion backfield to equalise just before the half. The second period was a mirror image of the first. Seef-Orr scored early on for the Bomb Squad after sacking "Hack Phlegm" and turning it into a touchdown. Just as the game expired, Morris himself emerged from a midfield scramble to take the ball to the house and record the third straight draw between the two sides.

"Hack Phlegm" Morris's contribution to the game helped boost the number of Rebellion dodges to an incredible 27 while the team's blocking unit only produced a total of 9 hits.
