The first ever post-season match for the PAIN Corp saw them take on a Savages side who received a walkover in their first post-season game during the Wildcard round. The ADF North champion Corp were the number one seeds having finished undefeated during the regular season. The Savages made their way to the post-season with a second place finish in the ADA West and 8th overall. The two teams had faced off once previously, a 3-0 win for the Savages in 2005.
The Corp were determined to avenge that loss and had clearly been preparing for the Savages. The initial drive from the visitors was cut short by a tackle from Dobbin Ruud as the home team read their cues and cut off the opposition dodging technique. A typically physical grinding response from the ADF side pushed back through Savages lines, Taliona Raven shielded by a mass of players as the team pressed on to the end zone and a score that left little time for a first half response. The clock was not entirely run out though and using The Secret Way, Lobo La'Grange came up within inches of the end zone. That was La'Grange's last effort of the game though as Leonora Snugglebum Badly Hurt him for his troubles.
The second half saw little initial Savages resistance to another Corp drive. The unstoppable Raven scoring with relative ease. Two up, the home team relaxed a little and came under instant pressure. A chain of passing and retrieving eventually let "Fur" Tooth for his first score since 2003. The Savages did not see the ball again though and the game degenerated into a melee both on the pitch and in the stands until time ran out and PAIN Corp had advanced to the semi finals.
"Fur" Tooth moved through 400 career Rushing Yards during the match. Vargash K'Narog has thrown 100 Blocks in this the first season of his career while Neffgar Golgoth and Gha'rosh Bloodfist have also reached the same milestone. Taliona Raven broke through the 200 Rushing Yards mark.
Joanie Brawler missed the game through a niggling injury,
Taliona Raven went through the 200 career Rushing Yard barrier despite this being only her first season. Zzharg Zzhargson recorded his 20th Casualty. Savogand Thrall has now rushed for 100 Post-Season Yards and has tied Arda for most post-season Rushing Attempts . Leonora Snugglebum Knocked down his 100th opponent while Gha'rosh Bloodfist has now thrown 100 career Blocks. Fester Rustblade achieved his 50th career Dodge during the game.
